Target Audience

Physicians, CNMs, PAs, NPs and other healthcare professionals interested in OB/GYN and contraception.

 

Educational Needs Addressed

In this webinar, participants will learn community standards and best practices for counseling and referring patients to abortion care from settings where such care is not available onsite.

 

Educational Objectives

Participants at the conclusion of this webinar will be able to:

  1. Discuss clinicians’ professional and ethical obligation to counsel about and refer to services they cannot provide directly
  2. Describe leading clinical and public health organizations’ guidance on abortion referral-making
  3. Analyze benefits to abortion counseling and referral-making for patient-provider relationships and patient well-being
  4. Apply elements of referral-making to their own patient services or clinical practice
