Physicians, CNMs, PAs, NPs and other healthcare professionals interested in OB/GYN and contraception.

 

Educational Needs Addressed

The Institute of Medicine estimates over one million people in the U.S. with reproductive capacity have epilepsy. People with seizure disorders face unique concerns related to their reproductive health. Join us for a discussion of the considerations for contraceptive and preconception counseling with patients who have seizure disorders.

 

Educational Objectives

Participants at the conclusion of this webinar will be able to:

  1. Describe the intersection of seizure disorder and reproductive health topics including contraception, fertility, and preconception considerations
  2. Discuss antiseizure medication interactions with contraception and the effect of contraception on seizures
  3. Apply new knowledge to reproductive health clinical scenarios and discuss management options

How to Request a Certificate

By reviewing the course content and completing the posttest and evaluation, physicians are entitled to receive 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. To receive a certificate for your participation in this activity, you will need to complete the evaluation survey at the end of this activity and in the last question select that you wish to receive CME credit. PICCK will send your certificate directly to you via email. You can expect your certificate within two weeks of completing the evaluation survey.
